Volunteer

Our rescue is always in need of volunteers for a variety of tasks. Our primary need is for more fosters, but we always need help with transporting, events, fundraising, adoptions, and some administrative tasks. Donate

Since we are completely supported by our generous donors and adopters, we always appreciate monetary and supply donations. To get an idea of where our money goes, here’s a list of common expenses:

  • All medical expenses, from standard vetting (approximately $300/dog) to necessary surgeries ($500-$3,000)

  • Dog food for our in-home fosters and our prison dogs ($500/month)

  • Monthly heartworm and flea prevention medication ($300/month)

  • Crates and bedding ($100/each)

  • Collars, leashes, tags, toys, bones, training treats, etc

  • Technology expenses to support our website, email addresses, and phone number

  • Postage, paper, ink, and other miscellaneous expenses to support business operations

  • Occasional fuel expenses for long transports

Many companies offer ways to help the rescue simply by making purchases from them!
We also receive additional funds through Kroger Community Rewards when people designate us as their charity of choice on their Kroger Plus Card. Click the link below for instructions.
Max & Neo sends an item to a rescue for every item purchased, as well as offering the option of buying a Donation Box for the rescue of your choice. We receive a few shipments from them each year and love their products (like the Adopt Me bandana shown on Twila)! 
We also have an active Bonfire campaign, which provides funds to the rescue with each apparel purchase! 
We can accept donations via PayPal and credit card using the Donate button at the top of the page. If your company offers donation matching and you need a formal acknowledgement letter, please contact us at donations@prodogsohio.org to request one.
